On the NDIS?
Need some help?
Let’s do this.
Both disabled and queer people are often marginalised, and at the intersection of this it can be easy to feel like you’re being left behind in the NDIS.
My goal for Hansberry SC is to provide personal, informed care for NDIS participants who may feel like their formal supports aren’t suiting their needs, or just want help from someone who feels a little bit more like a real person.
If you or a loved one have an NDIS plan and aren't confident that you're receiving the best care that you could be, please fill out a referral and I'll be in contact!
What does a support coordinator do?
Lots of things! A lot of my job is spent on technical stuff, making sure that funding is available when we need it, and gathering reports and information from your providers. However, I'm also the person you call when you want to start, stop or change supports, or have any questions or concerns about your plan.
I spend a lot of time building a network of providers that I actually trust to deliver human-centered support. The goal is that I know the NDIS well enough that you don’t have to.
How much does a support coordinator cost?
If your NDIS plan includes funding for coordination of supports, then it's covered! Support Coordinators can charge at level one, two, or three rates (depending on the complexity and requirements), but level two coordination, the most common type, is billed at $100.14 per hour.
If your plan does not include support coordination funding, that's fine as well! Let me know in your referral and I’m happy to have a discussion about getting it added. If there’s ever anything you’re unsure about - ask!
I have my own question!
I’ll answer these on my Tiktok and Facebook pages @hansberrysc!
